From The Artist…
Mystical Guardians of Joy Cat Silhouettes were inspired by my own two cats who delight in “helping me work”. They make me laugh, and sometimes yell, but remind me to take breaks and not take myself too seriously. I created two colors of these cats in a fresh bright blue and a warm brown. The blue cats represent Spring, and the brown represent Autumn. The idea was that I could swap the prints out seasonally – using the blue in Spring and Summer, and brown in Fall and Winter.
The Guardians of Joy Cat Silhouettes is part of a larger series of silhouettes where the abstract form allows the intricate details of an abstract mixed media background to peek through.
I hope these floral felines pass on to you the joy and happiness I felt when creating them.
