From The Artist…
On a gloomy January day, I needed a pick-me-up. Bright colors and butterflies reminded me that spring was just around the corner. I painted the underpainting in the brightest colors I could find and layered it with butterfly silhouettes. There are two paintings in this series. In each, the butterflies are just taking off from the ground. I love the way the dust and swirling air defines their flight pattern. Enjoy!
